Project description:

Systemic societal risks such as health threats (pandemics) place new types of serious demands on societal defence mechanisms and public policy making. Furthermore, health and systemic crises have societal impacts, the resolution of which, as well as acute crisis defence, require systematic social science research. The proposed project will establish national authorities in nine interrelated scientific fields (project activities) to offer a basis for public policies based on scholarly and applied research.

The main expected outputs of the project will be scientific articles.

The project will deliver new internationally competitive and excellent R&D&I results and other outputs useful for developing regulations, strategic documents, public policies and standards of a legislative and non-legislative nature, usable by public authorities in the field of major societal health crises such as the covid-19 pandemic.
